Global Warming

The terms "weather" and "climate" are sometimes confused, though they refer to events with broadly different spatial- and periods. Similarly “Climate change” and “global warming” are often used interchangeably but have distinct meanings.

Weather refers to the local atmosphere over short periods of time like days and includes rain, snow, clouds, winds, floods, or thunderstorms.

Due to human activities, globalization, excessive usage of technology, and burning fossil fuel, the heat-trapping greenhouse gas is increased and the Earth’s global surface temperature is affected severely. The phenomenon of this heating has taken place over the two centuries, and it is determined that the Earth has experienced a 4’C increment.

Climate change is a long-term change in the average weather patterns that have come to define Earth’s local, regional and global climates. These changes caused catastrophic events like ice melting, floods, hurricane, and volcanic activities.

The main cause of climate change has been contributed by humans due to fossil fuel burning, transportation, destruction of forests, and over usage of technology like cryptocurrency mining, and mobile phone usage. Due to this excessive heat, the glaciers and ice are melting, and the sea level has risen around 77cm which is occurring more floods and many areas have gone underwater permanently.

To prevent climate change, we must act together. We must stop industrialization which is just a mere competition between the superpowers, we also must focus on not destroying any more forests and do proper plantation in both urban and rural areas.
